Description
The Grand Power Q100 isn’t just another striker-fired pistol. Utilizing an uncommon action, this all-purpose Gem is a real smooth shooter that offer a lot in terms of performance and reliability, especially for the money. What sets the Q100 apart is the use of a rare locking system that imparts the pistol with some desirable qualities and offers serious benefits not found on many other higher priced guns.
Unlike the modified Browning tilt-barrel design, the action utilizes a rotating barrel lock, which keeps the muzzle on the same axis throughout the shot. A cutout on the barrel provides the rotating motion in conjunction with a roller bearing in the frame that disengages its two locking lugs through the energy of the recoil. Incorporating this innovative design lowers the bore axis, keeping it more in line with the shooter’s arm, thus reducing the felt recoil of the pistol and improving hand control by reducing the recoil’s leverage on the shooter’s wrist. It also increases the accuracy and aids in rapid target acquisition by eliminating the vertical play of the barrel.
This model features an integral Picatinny rail for the easy addition of accessories, a CNC machined frame, an ambidextrous construction and a SA/DA trigger mechanism that meets and exceeds the strictest requirements imposed on universal guns with its ergonomics suitable for shooters of practical disciplines as well as for special units of military forces and police. The steel rear sights are drift-adjustable and the blade front sight is interchangeable.
With the shooter’s comfort factor in mind, this model comes with four interchangeable back-straps of different sizes ensuring the grip size can be adjusted to suit most anyone. And it is easy to do – just pry the backstrap off and snap on a replacement.
